His landslide victory follows the pulling out of his strongest and vocal contender Yona Malunga.
Malunga who held the position before said his boycott was based on unlevelled playing field where he alleged that his supporters were bared to enter the Lali-Lubani gates.
“Yona knew that he would lose embarrassingly that’s why he came up with all the claims.” said one Bangwe based supporter Felix Magalasi.
Asked on what he will do first for the club the 37 year old Kaliyapa said his first Mission would be to Unite the fans.
“The polls to a certain extent divided us, so i will work on bringing unity amongst ourselves so that we can all rally behind our club.” said Kaliyapa in his acceptance speech.
Kaliyapa who urged the supporters to support the new club, added that he will continue from where his predecessor left in as far as the curbing of violence and the raising funds for the club is concerned.
Nomads club chairperson Rashy Gaffar hailed the supporters for holding a free and fair election saying the polls were credible.
Some of the people elected into the main committee include James Chiswankhondo who is the vice chairperson.
Former secretary Paul Mphepo lost to Wisdom Patel who will be deputised by Helbet Mapila.
Chipiliro Chilambe failed to defend his position of treasure to Bushire Winto and his vice is Jimmy Munta.
Helbert Mlaka, Phillip Master, Majid Julius, Charles Lizigen, Bright M’memo, Olivie Kandota and Batholomew Chimpango were voted in as executive committee members.
The club is expected to hold elections for its main executive committee next Saturday
