Deputy Minister of Health, Chrissie Kanyasho, has led Government officials and other development partners in witnessing the arrival of the vaccine.
Earlier, Kanyasho told MBC that logistical arrangements are already in place to begin administering the vaccine next week.
She added Malawi is also expecting to receive other consignments of the COVID-19 vaccine including a type known as Johnson and Johnson within the next two months.
The arrival of the consignment comes after about a month of vaccine stock out amid a surging third wave of COVID-19 cases.
