SADC DEPLOYS MINISTERIAL FACT-FINDING MISSION TO ESWATINI Featured

Southern African Development Community (SADC) has deployed a Technical Fact-Finding Mission to the Kingdom of Eswatini following disturbances in the Africa's last absolute Monarchy.

This is contained in a statement signed by Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi who is also the President of Botswana.


According to the statement, the ministerial team will consult extensively with stakeholders from July 15 - 22 , 2021.


Among other assignments in the Kingdom of Eswatini, the Mission will also analyse the political and Security situation in the country, reads part of the statement.

 

Meanwhile, the regional bloc has since appealed for calm and encouraged dialogue in the efforts towards resolving the country's social and political challenges.
