Confirming the development, National Police Spokesperson James Kadadzera said Kalindo is currently at Lilongwe Police Station and is likely to answer charges of tampering with electricity equipment as stipulated in the Electricity Act.

He will appear before court soon to answer the charges. Kalindo is aged 46 and hails from Njeza Village, Traditional Authority Mabuka in Mulanje District.
