Written by  Blessings Kanache

Foreign Affairs Ministers from Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) countries have agreed to continue working together in strengthening peace and security in the region including Mozambique.

The Ministers agreed this during the SADC Council of Ministers Meeting at Joaquim Chissiano International Conference Centre in Maputo, Mozambique, ahead of the extra ordinary Heads of State and Government Summit on Wednesday which President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is expected to attend.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Eisenhower Mkaka led Malawi delegation to the meeting.

Mkaka said the meeting also dwelt on finding means of making SADC countries acquire food security and advance in energy generation.

He said this is the only way the region can grow economically.
