The International Labour Organization (ILO) and Employers Consultative Association of Malawi (Ecam) have launched a task force comprised of various employers to fight against child labour in the country.

Speaking during the launch in Blantyre Ecam executive council member Annie Chavula says through the taskforce they will be organizing mentorship programs for children who are affected by child labour.

In his remarks senior project officer at International Labour Organization ILO Dylen Van Trop says global estimates for child labour are increasing.
