2017 AEJ AGM highlights in pictures

Malawi environmental media body, Association of Environmental Journalists – AEJ held Annual General Meeting from 3-4 November in Lilongwe where some of its members were awarded for their programmes and contribution in protecting environment.

The guest of honour was Minister of National Resources, Energy and Mining Aggrey Masi. MBC Journalists Mac Donald Chiwayula and Eunice Ndhlovu were among winners in the Green Media Awards. Chanco radio and Nation Newspaper were the media houses that won in electronic and print categories, respectively.

 

AEJ Journalists were also drilled in science and environment reporting. Dr Kenneth Wiyo of LUANAR was the keynote speaker at the AGM. UNDP was official sponsor this year while other partners include EGENCO, MERA, Lilongwe Water Board, Centre for Environmental Policy and Advocacy, Total Land Care, First Merchant Bank, Government of Malawi and Puma.
