The platform will provide a rare chance for women to interact with their patron the First Lady Madam Dr Gertrude Mutharika at Sanjika Palace from six O’clock in the evening. According to MBC Public Relations Officer Chembezi Mhone, all is set for the annual event.

Mhone says this year’s function is unique in a number of ways adding that the outstanding Zokonda Amayi group will go away with a trophy and the sum of MK1.5 million while the second and the third will walk away with MK1 million and MK750, 000 respectively. 

"It's not about the money but what these women are actually doing in terms of initiatives they have launched in their communities. So we are promoting that sense and spirit of coming together and being independent through various initiatives,"" said Mhone.

The function will be held under the theme: Tigonjetse Cancer ya Amayi.
