Malawian parents prioritise quality education

More Malawian families are opting for reputable international universities as they view quality education as a long-term investment in their children’s future.

This was evident on Tuesday at Kamuzu International Airport, where Maranatha Academy Managing Director,  Ernest Kaonga saw off his daughter as she left for Sharda University in India. Dr Kaonga noted that the institution has become a popular choice because of its strong academic record, global exposure and character-building programmes.

He added that parents today are more deliberate in choosing universities known for producing disciplined and competitive graduates.

“Quality education cannot be compromised. Families are looking beyond cost and focusing on institutions that offer real value for their children’s future,” said  Kaonga.

Maranatha Academy has for years emphasised the importance of high-quality higher education, encouraging parents and students to consider institutions that combine academic excellence with holistic development.

The academy continues to promote pathways that prepare young people to excel in an increasingly competitive global environment.
