Chairperson for the Healing Jesus Campaign in the Northern region, Bishop Alex Msikiti said this in Mzuzu during a mass awareness parade ahead of the campaign which gets to the north this week.

Bishop Msikiti said the crusade will initiate unity among religious groupings regardless of their doctrines.

“We believe the unity which was initiated by Jesus Christ Himself can take charge of every situation, and this is the demonstration for the unity that Jesus Christ already prayed for and we need to keep doing this.

“As a church we have to work together and reach out to the people for the benefit of human kind,” said Bishop Msikiti.

The Bishop added that the said unity is equally crucial for national development.

The campaign has been organized by the Evangelical Association of Malawi and the Pastors Fraternal. Evangelist Dag Heward Mills of Ghana is the one leading the crusade.

In the northern region the campaign will hit Mzuzu from Monday to Wednesday, thereafter Mzimba, Likoma, Nkhata Bay and Rumphi. Later on Thursday it will head for Karonga and Chitipa.

According to National Coordinator for the campaign Reverend Lovell Ankrah there are a number of positive experiences from the exercise which he said unpacks one’s life holistically.

“Wherever we have been to, we have seen God at work and people are witnessing the glory of the Lord,” he said.

The campaign has already been to Zomba, Liwonde, Salima and Kasungu.
