Commenting on the development, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Joseph Mwanamveka said once adopted and completed, the corridor will not only improve the standards of the country’s roads but also increase revenue collection on transit goods transportation.

Meanwhile the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Joseph Mwanamveka has wounded up debate on the 2019/2020 national budget clarifying some of the concerns raised by members in their contributions to the national budget. One notable change is the withdrawal of a 1% tax proposal on none banking mobile transactions.
