DPP National Organizing Secretary Chimwemwe Chipungu was speaking at Lambulira ground in the area of Senior Chief Chikowi in Zomba.

Chipungu says DPP government under the leadership of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has done developments in almost all the districts from Chitipa to Nsanje. Chipungu says the ruling party is determined to continue developing Malawi beyond 2019.

“I went district by district reading out developments that have been done, and the people are totally satisfied that President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has kept the promise and they are willing to vote DPP government back next year,” said Chipungu.

Chipungu further says as the Party they are not shaken at all with the opposition ahead of the 2019 tripartite elections.

“Our supporters are patriotic towards development of the country, they have got integrity towards their own party I don’t see them being shaken,” he said.

For his part, Ken Nsonda said what the Vice President has done is similar to what Lucifer did to God.

“Lucifer was second in command to God, He was an Arch Angel, but he was not satisfied with what God had blessed him with. As a result he wanted to be like God.

We have seen an example of the current Vice president in this country, he forgot that he was just an ordinary person, a nobody but it took Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in his fatherly spirit and in his human heart to pick him up from nowhere and give him the Vice Presidency. He forgot where he was coming from,” said Nsonda.

Member of Parliament for Zomba Ntonya Dr Patrick Makina says his area has received several developments including electricity in five centres and is expecting to receive electricity in five more centres.

Also present at the rally included, DPP Director of Women in the Eastern Region Elube Kandewu, Director of Economic Affairs Ralph Jooma, Zeliya Chakale, Members of Parliament and Chiefs.
