The news has been announced in a circular dated 1 December addressed to all Principal Secretaries and Heads of Departments in the civil service and signed by Secretary to the Treasury (ST) Ronald Mangani.

“ I am pleased to inform you that Mr Alfred Kutengule has been appointed as a Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and development effective 1 December 2016.”said Mangani.

He said all public relations and media issues involving Treasury should now be addressed to Kutengule.

Commenting on his new role, Kutengule said: “I am deeply honoured to have been appointed to this role at the Treasury.”

Msowoya is said to have been deployed to head National Authorising Project which mainly looks at EU funded projects within Treasury
