The President was speaking at St Theresa Primary School Ground in Chiradzulu during the official launch of the 2021/2022  AIP.

Dr Chakwera said his administration is striving to ensure that only qualified beneficiaries get access to the inputs.

To achieve this, he said, there is a need for collaboration among all players involved and called on entities such a  law enforcement agencies to guard against exploitation of beneficiaries.

For the first time, the government has introduced a livestock component as part of AIP targeting 30,000 farmers in Chikwawa and Nsanje Districts.

Meanwhile, Dr Chakwera has assured the nation that proper mechanisms have been put in place to address challenges such as network problems,  experienced last year during the implementation of the programme.
