Speaking at Tedzani 4 Hydro Power Station EGENCO's Chief Executive Officer William Liabunya said currently the Wowve Power Station is producing about 4.5 megawatts and the company intends to add another 4.5 megawatts.

Liabunya made the disclosure on Friday during the visit of the Parliamentary Committee on Natural Resources to the newly commissioned Tedzani 4 Hydro Power Station.

According to Liabunya they have lined up a number of power plants projects that include a solar plant in Salima.

"There are a lot of projects we are planning to undertake among them are expansion of Kapichira Power Station and construction of Mpatamanga Hydro Power Station," said Liabunya.

Appreciating the new power station, the voice Chairperson of the Committee George Katunga Million expressed satisfaction with the operations of the station.

"Still more we are challenging EGENCO to expedite the rolling out of these projects, we will lobby government to make available funds for such developments," said Million.

Tedzani 4 Hydro Power Station produces about 19.1 megawatts.
