District Commissioner for Zomba, Reinghard Chavula has issued a stern warning to officers who fail to submit timely reports following the implementation of their activities.
Chavula sounded the warning on Wednesday in Machinga during the second quarterly review meeting for the Malawi Watershed Services Improvement Project.
The DC expressed disappointment over the habitual delays, noting that some officers fail to submit their reports months after receiving funds and completing their activities.
“I have already started appraisal exercises with directors and I expect them to do the same to their juniors. However, should I notice no change, I will be forced to do a reshuffle of activity managers,” she said.
McKinley Dupu, MWASIP Programme Coordinator, concurred with Chavula, saying delayed submission of reports affects operations.
During the meeting, participants agreed to prioritize timely reporting and uphold their commitments for the betterment of the district and the nation.
