President Arthur Peter Mutharika has restructured the Special Cabinet Committee on Covid-19 making it more inclusive, bringing leader of opposition Lobin Lowe of Malawi Congress Party (MCP), academia, religious leaders and other stakeholders and changing it to be a Presidential Task Force.

Water level in Lake Malawi has risen to about 1 meter higher than was the case same time last year - the highest point in nearly a decade. This is according to data collected from the country’s three main water level monitoring stations at Chilumba in Karonga, Nkhata – Bay and Monkey Bay in Mangochi district.

COVID-19: Malawi cases rise to 36

Malawi has recorded two new COVID- 19 cases raising the country's caseload to 36. The two are a Chileka based man in Blantyre who recently travelled to Tanzania. The other is a Livimbo resident in the Capital Lilongwe.
