The vice president said through contribution of cash and various items to the church, the word of God can be wide spread and assist in transforming people’s lives.
The vice president also commended Catholic Women Organisation for their active role and participation in the spread of the gospel stressing that gone are the days when the church used to stretch its hands to donors for help.
During the function the Vice President announced that catholic members from Lilongwe had jointly contributed K1 million to the Catholic Women Organisation.
According to the Chairlady of the Women Organisation Mary, Money realised at the function would help the women organisation to attend the Diocesan Conference expected to take place next week.
Some of the activities that helped in raising funds at the dinner include, raffle draw and auction of items.
