The Last Church of God has applauded the Malawi government for enhancing the freedom of worship which the religious sector enjoys in the country.

Bishop Doneford Simbeye of the Last Church of God in Karonga was speaking at Fwira in the area of Traditional Authority Kilupula in the district when he presided over the ordination of Anganile Anostor Musongole as a new Pastor.


Bishop Simbeye described the relationship in serving people between the church and government as mutual.


“We work together with government in instilling peace and harmony and also in social development especially now that my church has obtained a seal of recognition from government,” said Bishop Simbeye.


Turning to the newly ordained Pastor, Bishop Simbeye advised him to lead the church with impartiality, fair and just manner.


“To you Pastor Musongole please respect members of the church and treat them in a fair and just manner so that the church continues to grow,” advised the Bishop.


Taking his turn, The New Pastor Anganile Anostor Musongole pledged to always seek God`s intervention in his work.


“My administration will be decentralized to members of the church and always seek God`s help to guide us,” said Pastor Musongole.


The New Pastor will be heading Mwenibabu Last Church of God in the area of Group Village headman Msomba, TA Kilupula in Karonga district.
