Limbe Police assistant publicist Sergeant Pedzisai Zembeneko said the deceased, identified as Madalitso Namwemwe, went to deliver goods to Mzuzu a few days ago and returned to Blantyre around 9 pm on Saturday.
“He parked the vehicle, started off home before telling his wife he had arrived and that she should prepare some food for him,” explained Zembeneko.
“Surprisingly, he did not reach home, only to be found lying naked and unconscious at Mthandizi the following.”
He added that the deceased was taken to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (Q.E.C.H) where he died before receiving treatment.
Namwemwe hailed from Manase village in the area of Traditional Authority Kapeni in Blantyre.
