According to Dedza police publicist Edward Kabango, the two toner lorry registration number MC5233 was coming from Dowa carrying mourners to mangochi for burial ceremony.

Upon reaching a sharp bend along masasa -Golomoti road the driver lost control of the vehicle and overturned, three people died on the spot while others sustained serious injuries. The vehicle had over 20 people on board including the driver.

Kabango said the victims are currently at Dedza district hospital receiving treatment. Police advice all road users to follow rules on the road to avoid accidents.
