CHAKWERA TO FEATURE IN BBC'S HARDTALK PROGRAMME

As part of his official duties to engage the world audience on what Government is doing  to drive the country on a path of sustainable development, President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has recorded an interview with the BBC.

The recording was done on Tuesday, July 27 and will be featured in the Hardtalk Programme on Thursday, July 29, 2021.
 
The President had a wonderful time engaging with the programme host, Sarah Montague, clarifying key issues and aspirations of the country.
 
The BBC's Hardtalk is an in-depth, hard-hitting interviews programme that is done with newsworthy personalities across the world.
 
Its first episode was aired on March 31, 1997.
 
The Malawi leader left the country on Sunday, July 25, for the United Kingdom where he is expected to attend the Global Education Summit alongside other African Presidents such as President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria and President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya among others.
