According to NBS Bank cluster Manager for Central and Northern region Tryson Kalanda, the move is one way of decongesting it's banking halls.
"With this COVID-19 pandemic, we are encouraging customers to use agencies like Farmers World and other small ones to withdraw and deposit their cash," Kalanda said.
Farmers World Financial Controller Hanno Uys said his organisation has over 80 satellite depots in Northern and Central regions as such it has wider network to enable it provide Bank Pafupi services to rural masses.
NBS Bank wants to have 5000 agencies to be offering bank Pafupi services in rural areas where most of people are unbanked. So far the bank has 1500 agencies across the country.
