Tour aims to bolster Groundnut production

The 2024 Groundnut Tour in Malawi has kicked off today with a field visit to Chitedze Research Station in Lilongwe.

The tour aims to showcase Malawi’s groundnut industry as a promising source of consistently high-quality groundnuts for both domestic and international markets.

Malawi has set an ambitious target of producing 1 million metric tons of groundnuts annually by 2030.

Organized by Pyxus Agriculture Malawi, the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Peanut and the Feed the Future Malawi Growth Poles Project, the tour promises valuable insights into the country’s groundnut sector.
