Tobacco sales resume at Kanengo

Tobacco sales have resumed at the Lilongwe Auction Floors following successful discussions tobacco sales stakeholders had.

There was a brief suspension after growers complained of delayed payments of tobacco sales proceeds.

Tobacco Commission spokesperson, Telephorus Chigwenembe, has confirmed that the stakeholders have reached a common ground on the matter.

At least $53 million had been held up across all markets due to the problem.
