NCIC for proper scrutiny and monitoring of construction projects

National Construction and Industry Council (NCIC) will on Friday launch what it calls the infrastructure window for public project monitoring.

The window is aimed at providing the public with accessible and comprehensive information about ongoing projects across the country.

Speaking to the press in Lilongwe, NCIC CEO Engineer Gerald Khonje said the initiative will simplify access to disclosed infrastructure data, making it easier for stakeholders to make informed decisions.

Echoing the same, CoST Malawi Multi-Stakeholder Group Chairperson Joe Ching’ani said the initiative seeks to maximize the value of public investment by promoting greater scrutiny and oversight of infrastructure development processes.

He said it also give the public a platform to push for some projects which have delayed.
