Natural Resources Ministry needs K1.2 billion

Yusuf Mkungula, the Principal Secretary of the ministry, disclosed this in Lilongwe during his presentation of a report to the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and Food Security as well as the Committee on Natural Resources and Climate Change.
 
The 2024/2025 budget has allocated K17.7 Billion to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Climate Change, a notable increase from the K14.2 Billion allocated in the previous fiscal year.
 
Welani Chilenga, the Chairperson of the committee, has expressed the committee’s commitment to lobbying for additional resources to support crucial areas.
