Mangochi Police drill Kabaza operators on road safety

Mangochi Police, through its traffic department, has launched a training programme targeting Kabaza motorcycle and bicycle operators.

Hoping to curb road accidents involving the targeted group, the training, among others, focuses on proper roundabout usage, which is a challenge among many.

Publicist for Mangochi Police, Amina Tepani Daudi, says the drill is part of an awareness campaign and they plan to extend the same to motor vehicle users.

“Business is growing every day in the district and our roads are becoming very busy so we want to promote sanity and adherence to road safety all the time,” says Daudi.

Station Traffic Officer, Julius Phiri, urged Kabaza operators to consistently adhere to traffic rules.
