Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) has called on policymakers in the agriculture sector to use evidence-based policy briefs to enhance production.
Director of the Centre for Agricultural Research for Development at LUANAR, Innocent Pangapanga, said this in Salima on Friday during a policy briefs training for Postgraduate students from LUANAR and the University of Malawi.
Pangapanga said policy briefs are crucial tools for communicating research outcomes to policymakers and stakeholders in a structured and impactful manner.
The training attracted partners, under the Titukulane project, a Resilience Food Security Activity and they have been conducting various agricultural studies.
