Lilongwe Golf Club have won the 2025 Ethco Inter Club Ladies Golf Tournament.
The two day event took place at Blantyre Sports Club involving six teams namely the hosts, the champions, Nchalo Golf Club ,Zomba Gymkana Club and Kasasa Golf Club from Dwangwa.
The tournament was split into two, the inter-club section and individual categories and brought together 72 lady golfers.
A team of Esther Kawale, Maureen Gwembere and Maina Mkandawire clinched the title for Lilongwe while Kasasa and Blantyre followed in second and third positions respectively.
In the individual section, Stella Chikhula Ng’oma also from Lilongwe, emerged top of the championship division infront of Diana Kambale and Zitha Rodrick.
Ulemu Luhanga topped the A Division while Chifundo Mwanza won the B category.
Matilda Mandala beat five other contestants to claim the junior division.
In other subsidiary prizes, Ghwabupi Mwabungulu was recognized for her commitment and hard work.
Ethanol Company (Ethco) sponsored the tournament with support from Press Corporation Limited and HS Winehouse through their brand Cape Stars.
