Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) has called on the private sector to work with the government in finding solutions to the economic challenges the country is facing.
MCCCI Chief Executive Officer, Daisy Kambalame, made the call when she received a donation of K6 million kwacha from Old Mutual towards MCCCI’s Annual Business Leadership summit to take place in Mangochi from 25 to 27 April.
Kambalame said the socio-economic challenges facing the country need solutions from all players, the private sector inclusive .
Old Mutual Malawi Group Chief Executive Officer, Edith Jiya, said it is only through collective action that the country can overcome any challenge and unlock endless possibilities for the future.
She said knowledge to be shared at the summit will be critical since it stems from one of the fundamental pillars of sustainable development required in business today.
