King MisuZulu Sinqobile KaZwelithini’s delegation has expressed gratitude to the Government of Malawi and King M’mbelwa V of Mzimba for according them a dignified reception.
The king’s delegates noted that their participation in this year’s Umthetho Cultural Festival at Hora Heritage Centre in Mzimba has highlighted the presence of their culture across the African continent.
“History has shown us this, and we are following our colleagues to ensure unity,” said Masikoamahle.
The 2024 Umthetho Cultural Festival featured notable dignitaries, including Her Royal Majesty Queen Nomzamo Kamyeni from South Africa, delegated by King MisuZulu, His Majesty Inkosi ya Makhosi Mpezeni IV of Zambia, His Majesty Inkosi ya Makhosi Zulu Gama of Songea in Tanzania, Paramount Chiefs Kyungu of Karonga and Chitipa, Chikulamayembe of Rumphi, and Lundu. Representatives from Zimbabwe, Kenya, and various Malawian government officials also attended.
This year’s festival theme centred on uniting against climate change during the decade of His Majesty Inkosi Ya Makhosi M’mbelwa V.
