Independent Schools Association of Malawi ( ISAMA) has called for collaboration in scaling up the use of digital technology in schools amid disasters.
President for ISAMA, Wyclif Chimwendo, made the call in Lilongwe at the opening of ISAMA’s second national conference.
Chimwendo said, among others, the conference is poised to meet an urgent need for action in order to minimise the impact of climate change effects on education.
Minister of Education, Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima, emphasised the need to share ideas and find ways to support education through digital technology learning when pandemics hit.
“The introduction of digital platform solutions offers a resilient approach to education delivery, enabling schools to continue operating even in the face of adversity,” said Wirima.
The conference is being held under the theme “Ensuring Smart Education Delivery in Independent Schools with ICT and Emergency Solutions.”
