The Irish Government has pledged continued support towards the Social Cash Transfer programme and food systems, saying they are improving livelihoods in Malawi.
The new Irish ambassador to Malawi, Kate Brady, made the remarks at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe where she presented her letters of credence to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
Brady said the relationship between the two countries is growing for the benefit of the people of the two nations.
Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Colleen Zamba, commended the government of Ireland for promoting Brady, pointing out that this ensures continuity of development programmes.
