Speaking in an interview with MBC, Communications Officer for Christian Pastors Embassy –CPE Robert Tamale said preparations for the prayers are at an advanced stage.
“There is need for men of God and church members to pray for the nation in order to overcome some of the challenges the country is facing,” Tamale said.
He said, among others they are going to pray for God’s intervention in a number of issues including the killings of people with albinism, and planned civil society organizations demonstrations scheduled for 27th of this month, saying demos could affect innocent Malawians.
He said this is why the group of men of God decided to intervene on the matter by coming together as a body of Christ to seek God’s face.
“As a God fearing nation we do not deserve some of the challenges that we are facing while we have a lot of men of God in the country. We need to humble ourselves and ask God to see us through these trying moments, hence the prayers,” he said.
Tamale has since urged all Christians to take part in the prayers for the benefit of the country.
