Executive member for Mgumano wa Asena na Mang’anja Andrew Fachi said everything is set for the event and all people participating in the event look forward to reuniting with people from the two tribes and share their heritage.
“We have prepared traditional dances, traditional food and traditional music among other things just to show our appreciation for our culture. Everything is set and we are eagerly looking forward to this day because we believe that celebrating heritage is one way of remembering where we are coming from,” explained Fachi.
Fachi further added that the incorporation of these two cultures demonstrates the oneness that ought to exist among other tribes in the country for a unified and strong cultural base that unifies the nation.
The Office of the President and Cabinet – OPC said President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is expected to arrive at the venue of the function at One O’clock in the afternoon.
