MBC Board Chairperson Rev. Dr. Billy Gama disclosed this on Saturday in Mulanje during a roundtable discussion with Egyptian Ambassador to Malawi Maher El-adawy.

Gama said the agreement will enhance the relationship that exists between MBC and Egyptian TV & Radio.

“As a Corporation we have been sending our staff to Egypt for training, but there was no official memorandum of understanding-MOU between MBC and Egypt,” Gama said.

He further said this is why they decided to strengthen the cooperation through documentation hence the draft MOU.

In his remarks, Egyptian Ambassador to Malawi Maher El-adawy expressed Egypt’s preparedness to partner with MBC for the benefit of the two countries.

“This is a good development as it involves two African countries one in the North and another to the South of the continent. Thus it will help to enrich skills of personnel between the two countries,” El-adawy said.

According to the MBC Board Chairperson Rev. Dr. Billy Gama, MBC and Egypt have been in the relationship for the past three years. Gama disclosed that there’s a high probability that the MOU will be signed this coming July at a function which will be held in Egypt.
