According to Nation on Sunday of 17th July which quotes speaker of parliament Richard Msowoya who is also vice president for the party, MCP wrote his office on the changes last week.
However the Salima central Member of Parliament who says has not been told by the party smells fish in the move and is contemplating of suing the party. He says he will not be intimidated by such moves and he will continue to fight on for democracy in the party.
This year has seen Jumbe being squeezed by the party for challenging some of the decisions made by the party’s President Lazarous Chakwera. Jumbe alongside Jessie Kabwira who were recently removed from the front seats to back benches in parliament for no reason were last week warned against attending a political rally addressed by Chakwera in Salima.
