Nomads team manager Steve Madeira said Namwela is likely to be out of action for about six weeks as he is about to be put on a plaster of Paris while Malata will miss some games as he is suffering from groin injury.
"Namwela suffered after he was badly tackled by a Masters Security player while Malata was also injured. Both players will miss action for a considerable time," he said.
According to Madeira, although the absence of the two will be felt, it will give an opportunity to other players to be featured.
He said the team registered over 30 players so that in eventualities like injuries, others should step up to the challenge.
"Wanderers is a big club and although we regret the injuries of the two players it will accord other players an opportunity to showcase their potential," said Madeira.
