Sulom officials held a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday in Lilongwe where both Be Forward Wanderers and Mzuni officials explained on what happened to lead to the game abandonment.

Sulom General Secretary Williams Banda said with both teams present at the hearing, the disciplinary committee will be able to take both sides of the story into consideration before coming up with a verdict.

“We have heard from both sides and according to our rules and regulations, verdict is expected to be delivered 48 hours after the hearing. By Friday, both teams should know their fate,” explained the GS.

The match between Be Forward Wanderers and Mzuni was abandoned following accusation that Mzuni officials were assaulted as they entered the stadium.

However, Be Forward Wanderers maintains that Mzuni never showed up at Balaka Stadium for the game.
