Kwimbira Mzika passes Fitness Test

Malawi top Fifa women's football assistant referee Bernadettar Kwimbira Mzika has passed the phyical fitness test during the Elite A coaching course underway in Yaunde, Cameroon.

Kwimbira Mzika is among a list of Fifa referees and assistant referees undergoing the training.

 

The results means that she is assured of the 2015/16 assignments for CAF and Fifa.

 

In a brief meassage posted on her Facebook page, Kwimbira attributed the results to devine intervention.


"[The]2015/2016 season with CAF & FIFA has just started. By His grace, these ladies have passed fitness test today. The journey continues.....Glory be to God," she said.

 

Bena, you are such a genius referee from the Warm Heart of Africa, thanks for doing proud your country.

The Malawian top referee, who officiated at her third Africa Women's Football Championship in Namibia last year, made history when she officiated at the Fifa Women's Football World Cup held in Canada thi year.

 

She also made another milestone as not only the first Malawian women's referee to handle World Cup final but Africa's.

 

Kwimbira Mzika traces her roots in athletics having been one of the country's promising middle short and middle distance runners.
