According to the statement from Office of the President and Cabinet and signed by Chief Secretary to Government, Lloyd Muhara, President Mutharika is expected to arrive at the function at 9 o’clock in the morning.
The statement further states that President Mutharika will later in the day address a rally at Goliati Trading Centre Ground.
MUST is a public university and was established on 17 December 2012. It opened its doors in March 2014, the first undergraduate programmes were: Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. MUST stands on a piece of land that was bought by former President of Malawi, late Professor Bingu Wa Mutharika and was donated to government for construction of the university. Currently it boasts of offering 14 undergraduate degree programmes.
