Fabiano was speaking during a rally he organized at Nkhande school ground in the area to kick start his campaign drive where he drummed up support for himself and DPP shadow councilors in the area.
“People have seen for themselves what we have achieved in the past five years so it’s necessary to give the President another five year term for continued development,” said Fabiano.
Fabiano also urged people in the area to practice issue based campaign to avoid violence during and after the elections.
Fabiano said he will continue where he has stopped to develop the area further, he cited the Chitera Telecentre, school block construction for both secondary and primary schools, Laboratories, road rehabilitation, boreholes, as some of his notable achievements during the last five years.
On youth empowerment the shadow parliamentarian has already started sourcing funds for the construction of the youth centre.
“We will build the youth centre so that our youth have something to do to avoid indulging in bad behavior,” Fabiano added.
Through the Chiradzulu Trust West Fund to which he is a patron and has helped to assist the needy students in the area with the help of its members.
In her remarks one of the women who attended the meeting Esther Kapalasa urged people to vote for Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and Dr Emmanuel Fabiano as a member of parliament as everybody is able to see the tangible developments in the area.
Malawians will be voting for the President, member of Parliament and a councilor to run for office a five year term on 21st May 2019.
