TNM to increase Mpamba Agents

Malawians are still finding it difficult to embrace the mobile banking system in the country despite number of companies putting up different efforts to promote the industry.

This was observed by TNMs Head of Corporate services Stella Hara when the company conducted two draws in the ongoing Kuiphula ndi Mpamba and Tikolore promotions.

In the kuphula ndi mpamba promotion, five agents from each region went away with 50 thousand kwacha cash, one agent from each region went away with 100 thousand kwacha while as one agent from every region went away with 200 thousand kwacha.

`This is our way of adding incentives to their job of serving our customers well`. said Hara.

Out of over 2.5 Million subscribers that the company has, only 700000 of them are on Mpamba and according to Harra the Kuiphula ndi mpamba promotion is one way of encouraging the agents to register more Malawians.

Hara added that her company is doing its best to make sure that all their customers register with Mpamba service.

`We are aware that our agents might not be enough for all our customers but as a company that is always with people we are working hard to make sure that we have enough agents in the streets.` added Hara.

During the second Tikolore draw, 53 years old Yohane Kondwerani of Kasungu became the first winner of the tricycle and other, 50 other customers went away with two bags of fertilizer while as another set of 50 lucky customers won sprayers.
