The European Union (EU) Ambassador to Malawi and Head of delegation, Sandra Paesen, has been recalled from her tour of duty in the country.

Four Malawians have been handed death sentences by the high court for the 2016 killing of an albino in Dowa, while four others were meted life sentences.

Malawi President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is set to deliver a keynote address at the 25th United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP25) in Madrid, Spain which kicks-off December 2 and runs to December 13 in the Spanish capital Madrid, aimed at nations to join forces  and commit themselves in the fight against climate change effects.

Malawi President Arthur Peter Mutharika left the country on Friday to attend the 25th United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP) in Madrid, Spain from 2nd to 13th December, saying he will ask developed countries to reduce emissions which lead to climate change challenges.
