Chewa Heritage Coordinator, Senior Chief Lukwa who spoke on behalf of Gawa Undi revealed this at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe after meeting President Professor Peter Mutharika.

“There are a lot of court injunctions among the Chewa chieftaincy especially on who to take over the thrown after one dies. The Chewa chief wants all cases to be handled by him,” Lukwa explained.

Lukwa, however said Gawa Undi took advantage of the meeting with the President to discuss solution on the issues and end them once and for all.

Lukwa further said Gawa Undi's meeting with Mutharika was also aimed at strengthening the relationship which the Late President, Professor Bingu wa Mutharika established with the Chewa Chief.
