According to Assistant Public Relations Officer for Limbe Police Station Widson Nhlane, the convict during the night of 24 to 25 April 2017 broke and entered a shop of a certain business person in Limbe market and stole items.
“The convict took away motor vehicle oils, fuel pumps, assorted filters, brake pads, car polish and bearings worthy K1, 370,500.00,” said Nhlane.
“When he appeared before court he pleaded guilty and asked the presiding magistrate His Worship Benedictus Chisakamile to be lenient because he is a first offender,” explained Nhlane.
But passing the judgement His Worship Chisakamile said the crime Masanza committed is a serious one and deserves a custodial sentence as a deterrent to would be offenders hence a 3 year jail term.
