The ceremony has come two weeks after the high court in Mzuzu cleared her appointment.

Kalemba’s sworn- in ceremony was postponed in November 2015 after four parliamentarians namely Kamlepo Kalua, Louis Chankwantha, Harry Mkandawire and Mzomera Ngwira obtained a court injunction Challenging the decision by the State President to appoint her.

However the Mzuzu high court overturned the decision on the basis that President Mutharika did not err in appointing her.

She will possibly be unveiled to Parliament when it resumes sitting from the 22nd February to 18th March this year.
