While the Human Right Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has turned down former president Bakili Muluzi’s plea of suspending demonstration in order to give dialogue a chance, both parties have agreed on the need to sustain peace and co-existence among Malawians.


The Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC), whose operations are financed by Capital Hill, on Monday expressed worry with the continued violence during public protests across the country demanding the resignation of MEC Chairperson Justice Jane Ansah, saying the demos were no longer rights-based but crime-based.


FDH Bank CEO  Thomson Mpinganjira says the Bank will list on the Malawi Stock Exchange(MSE) by June 30 next year.


Business magnate Dr Thom Mpinganjira, CEO of FDH Financial Holdings Limited (FDHFHL), which owns FDH Bank, on Tuesday trashed speculation that he is being positioned to succeed President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leadership for2024, saying the speculation was “unfounded” and linking him and the Bank to politics was putting his life at risk and jeorpadising business.
