The call was made by the foundation’s director of programmes, Khumbo Kamanga during a graduation ceremony for 28 learners in Chiradzulu who passed the just released Malawi School Certificate of Education.

With increasing levels of poverty and need, Kamanga said education is the only route that can guarantee them an escape into a future of hope and promise.

“The only obstacle to your dreams is you”, said Kamanga. “If you have the right attitude, work hard and seek help along the way, then surely you’ll make it like everyone else who started like you”, added Kamanga before challenging the community to address the problem of child marriage that continues to push girls away from school.

Kamanga urged all students who have passed examinations to think critically about their future and never be afraid of taking entrepreneurship journeys, should need call.

“The sky is limitless for any child with a dream. There’s more to life than just the MSCE paper you are waiting to receive. Ask around and grab every opportunity that comes your way for further studies”, said Kamanga.

In her remarks, head Teacher for Litchenza CDSS, Dorothy Kapasule Mlelemba thanked community members for their sustained support to the school. She then called out to the learners who had passed to find time to help their peers who will be seating for the same exam in the coming year.

“We are not happy that 11 failed. But we are happy that 28 passed and as a school we want to do better than this in this academic year”, she said.

Learners at Litchenza CDSS  in Chiradzulu have applauded DreamShare Foundation (DSF) for giving them an opportunity to voice their concerns on how the community should help improve their education.

Apart from testimonial certificates, the successful learners were also given money by the school’s alumni grouping.

DreamShare, founded in 2017, pays school fees for 419 students in 19 schools across the country.
